Business Analyst

VisionMAX Solutions Inc. – Who We Are:

In 1998 VisionMAX started as a custom software development shop and over the years has amassed a sizeable inventory of solutions primarily for Media, Tele-communications, Government and Retail sectors. Our goal was and is to provide top-notch, innovative solutions at a lower cost than the big consulting shops or specialty boutiques. We have the advantage of big shop experience, applied on a smaller scale. We are a Canadian company, with head offices in Mississauga, Ontario and sales representation in the USA.  And now 11 years later, over 100 employees strong with continued growth plans, VisionMAX continues to deliver top-notch IT business solutions from start to finish, on time and on budget - every time.

The Role:

The Business Analyst plays a key role in ensuring all projects are delivered according to customer specifications by liaising with key customer stakeholders and the project team.  They define current and future operational scenarios (processes, models, use cases, plans and solutions) and work with the customer and key members of the project team to ensure proper translation of business requirements to technical solution requirements. 
Specific tasks include but not limited to:

• Participate in requirements gathering activities with business users to obtain business and system requirements.
• Review and summarize key findings (issues, risks, constraints, opportunities) with recommendations.
• Develop business architecture documents, business function models, business process models and business scenarios.
• Develop System Requirement Specifications document.
• Develop use cases.
• Provide support to the development team, including testing.
• Assist design of storyboards, report layouts and prototypes.
• Provide impact analysis to change management process.
• Work closely with business users and the project team to ensure all deliverables meet business objectives.
• Contribute to QA function in test design and execution phases.
• Identify functional and process gaps, where required, recommend and implement solutions to gaps.
• Provide the Project Manager with timely and accurate project information and status updates.

The Skills and Qualifications We’re Looking For:

• Strong Business Analysis  background developed through successful delivery of numerous IT projects
• Excellent knowledge of business analysis techniques
• A thorough understanding of internet, e-commerce, retail and business applications.
• Excellent English communication skills – both written & verbal.  
• Post secondary Degree – preferably Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent combination of education & work experience. 
• Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills
• A demonstrated ability to interact with a variety of end-users and business clients.
• High level of initiative, decisiveness and business acumen, must be willing to accept a large amount of responsibility.
• Strong analytical capability with excellent attention to detail.
• Capacity to assign priorities to multiple competing and important activities under tight deadlines.
• Travel in GTA is required – Office is located in Mississauga and various customer sites across the GTA.
