Robert McDougall
VP Operations, COO

As Vice President Operations/COO, Robert is a Strategic Director with the following areas reporting to him: VisionMAX General Management, Human Resources and the Project Management Office (PMO) responsible for Project Management / Planning, Formal Risk Analysis, Project Quality Assurance and Post-Implementation Review. Robert is also an Executive in our Project Management team for clients on our largest projects.

Robert has a B.A. Specialization Communications (Concordia University Montreal) combined with a college diploma (DEC) in Science & Engineering from the Collège Militaire Royal (CMR) de St. Jean , QC .

Robert has had the privilege of working with many of our most prestigious clients from Bell Canada to The Ontario Government to Canada Life Assurance (now Great West Life). He has over 20 years of IT experience of which half was spent implementing some of the newspaper publishing industry’s most important programmes. During his career he has been directly responsible for mid-to-large scale multi-million dollar projects and large teams of Project Managers, Architects, Developers, Analysts and Technicians. Robert has worked as a consultant and in senior IT management positions with the Torstar Media Group and many of Quebec's best-known newspapers including Le Journal de Montréal (Quebecor), Le Soleil (Quebec City), Le Devoir (Montreal), Les Hebdos UniMédia (Montreal) and LeDroit (Ottawa).

Robert has been a speaker on Database Publishing and was awarded one of the Quebec IT industry's highest honours the "OCTAS" two times once in 1993 and again in 1994, "For remarkable achievement, permitting an organization or enterprise to improve its performance on economical and human resources levels". Robert is Certified for eBusiness (IBM) and is fully bilingual English/French having worked in a French milieu for over 10 years.
