Background
Katz Group Canada Ltd. is Canada's leading integrated retail pharmacy network. With over 1,500 corporate, franchise and independent pharmacies, including Pharma Plus, Rexall, Guardian, and other banners, Katz Group Canada has more pharmacies across Canada than any other retail pharmacy network.
The Challenge
The Katz Group needed to move quickly to accommodate rapid change and new business requirements. When they merged with Pharma Plus, they needed to scale their infrastructure quickly and enhance their catalogue management capabilities.
The Solution
VisionMAX delivered an end-to-end retail solution using IBM WebSphereŽ Commerce Pro IBM Catalogue Manager, and several proprietary solutions.
The entire group's store catalogue operations now run on a three-server, redundant environment with load-balancing and fail-over via a Cisco Local Director load balancer. VisionMAX was able to complete all work, including full migration and testing, on time and on budget.
The Results
VisionMAX eliminated business process inefficiencies, and strengthened customer buying and support relationships across disparate systems. VisionMAX delivered a more positive shopping experience for Katz Group customers.
