CORE COMPONENTS, FRAMEWORKS, AND SOLUTION LINES

VisionEngine consists of 300,000 lines of code assembled into 1,200 Core Component software modules (which do a basic business function). We assemble various Core Components into a Framework (which handles a work flow), and Frameworks can be assembled into Solution Lines.

On individual customer engagements, there is always some customization required to fit into their unique situation (e.g., add client-specific functionality, integrate into client databases). We refer to this ability to reuse existing code for many new customers while adding a thin layer of customized code around the package as “mass customization”.
